A Beautiful Fall Weekend at Sandy Cove!
This November 8th-10th there will be a Women’s Retreat held at beautiful Sandy Cove, located along the Chesapeake Bay. Five Forks has booked 10 rooms for 40 women who are interested in “encountering the Savior with Liz Curtis Higgs.”
Liz has spoken for 1,800 Christian Conferences around the globe and has written 37 books, including the bestsellers Bad Girls of the Bible, The Girl’s Still Got It, and The Women of Christmas.
Spend the weekend with four women from the New Testament who each had a personal encounter with Jesus. Their stories are amazing. Their lives are inspiring. And the truths they teach us are nothing short of life changing.
Mary of Nazareth
“May your word to me be fulfilled.” Luke 1:38
A young girl from a backwater village is visited by an angel, who tells her she will give birth to the Son of God. One-of-a-kind Mary shows us what it means to take a huge leap of faith.
Anna the Prophetess
"She gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.” Luke 2:38
A female prophet whose name means “grace,” Anna worshiped night and day in the temple, fasting and praying, anticipating the arrival of the long-awaited Messiah.
“But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” John 11:22
Martha is often portrayed as the too-busy-for-God sister, but as her story unfolds, we’ll watch a better, stronger Martha emerge: a woman who is a role model for the ages.
Mary of Bethany
"And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume." John 12:3
Three times we’ll find Mary of Bethany sitting at the feet of Jesus. The last encounter will take our breath away, as she pours out her priceless perfume.
We have reserved ten standard deluxe rooms in the Chesapeake Lodge. This room style has one queen bed and two extra-long twin beds. All bed and bath linens are provided and each guest room has its own private bathroom.
